We’re looking forward to introducing you to Annie Muniz. Check out our conversation below.
Annie, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My mornings start with a quiet cup of coffee and time in prayer and devotion. This is a sacred space for me to reflect, give thanks, and align my heart before the day begins. After that, I ease into the workday by checking emails, reviewing content, and organizing anything that needs my attention for the events ahead. It’s a balance of spiritual grounding and purposeful preparation.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Annie Muniz, the owner and lead designer of Modern Chic & Unique Events—a faith-based wedding and event design company rooted in storytelling, intention, and elegance. With over 28 years of experience, I’ve had the honor of turning my passion into a purpose: creating one-of-a-kind celebrations that reflect the heart and vision of every client.
Our brand stands out because we don’t just plan events—we design experiences filled with beauty, meaning, and unforgettable moments. From whimsical florals to custom event installations, everything we do is built with love, prayer, and creative excellence. My husband Joe and I work side-by-side: I bring the vision, and he builds it with his hands. It’s a labor of love that we’re proud to share with others.
What makes our journey special is that it’s never been just about the flowers or the decor—it’s about using our God-given gifts to serve others with intention. Right now, I’m also working on a book that shares my personal journey in this industry, the highs, the heartbreaks, and the healing. I believe every season has purpose, and I hope to inspire others to keep building, dreaming, and trusting God’s timing…
